So here are My answers, and I must say: Sierra, these are really good questions!
What was the first book you reviewed?
Matched by Ally Condie. While I had mixed feeling about this book, it did make me wonder if handwriting will eventually become a dying art just like it did in this story.
What's your favorite movie that is based off a book, i.e. Twilight?
Ooooo! Now you got me. 0_0 I do like Twilight - only the first movie, though (I know, someone will want to stone me). And typically, when I need to remember one film adaptation, nothing comes to mind. But I can tell which ones I'm looking forward to seeing on the big screen in the future: The Hunger Games, Wicked Lovely and, my favourite, City of Bones.
Where do you usually read?
Everywhere, anywhere. But I do love reading in bed. My hubby calls it 'my pit' when I do that.
Paperback/Hardcover or Tablet?
Paperback any day. I'm not very 21st century for a blogger, I know. But you can't have an eBook autographed by its writer and because I work in the computer all the time, reading from a screen makes me think of work.
When did you become a blogger?
Last year, after my creative writing instructor suggested I started a routine of writing a little every day. I though blogging would be a good way to do that.
Favorite thing about blogging?
All the amazing people I have met! I'm now in touch with people all over the world, who I would never have known otherwise. And we all love books so I don't sound like a nerd when I'm going on... and on... and on... and on... about them. ^_^
Less favorite thing about blogging?
The disappointment I feel when life gets in the way and I don't have time to do it. I have withdraw symptoms. It's seriously addictive.
Do you want your future career to have something to do with books? Like publishing or professional reviewer?
Absolutely! I'm an aspiring writer, but I also love editing (specially copy editing) and reviewing so I will most definitely look into a career path in the book world after I finish my degree.
Blog inspiration?
Oh Gosh, there are many! I did look at lots of blogs when I was setting up mine and I still look into and read other blogs. You can find some of them here and here, but I come across new ones almost every day and they are so different that is hard to pick only a handful.
Team Edward or Team Jacob? Or Team Peeta or Team Gale?
I think I'm Team Edward, but only just. And I haven't read The Hunger Games yet, but I reckon, from what I've heard, that I will be Team Gale.

Tag! You're It!!!
Girl! We have very similar hair. LOVE it! Adorable photo! :)
ReplyDeleteYou haven't read Hunger Games? Stop the madness!
I'm a total Team Jacob and I'm still torn between Gale and Peeta (I haven't read the final book)
Gale is strong and sexy but Peeta pulls at my heart.
Thank you SO much for tagging me!
I don't normally do questionnaires on my blog so I'm hoping you don't mind if I answer here? :)
(Feel free to delete me if the comment it too long)
1. When was the last time you cried at the movies? The Vow...So good. So full of heartache. I teared up allot during this one.
2. Most funny or embarrassing thing that ever happened to you? You stumped me ;) It was probably something in high school that revolved around my monthly visitor.
3. If you could date a fictional character, who would it be and why? Jacob Black! Hands down. Steamy, sexy, committed, and protective. LOVE him.
4. Open the book you're currently reading on page 15 and give us a taster. I'm actually listening to an audiobook called Stories I Only Tell My Friends by Rob Lowe. It's SO good.
5. What is your favourite quote from a book? OMG I'm not sure I can pick just one. One of my favorite quotes that is not from a book, "Reading is a discount ticket to everywhere."
6. Is there a book you keep on coming back to even if only to read a certain scene? Probably New Moon and The Host
7. Why did you become a blogger? My husband encouraged me to find something I really like (like reading) and start blogging about it. Then I found a couple of amazing book bloggers that inspired me to take the plunge.
8. Paperback, hardcover, eBook or audiobook? These days with a newborn at home, totally audiobook.
9. First book you ever reviewed in your blog? The Godmother by Carolyn Turgeon
10. The love story (in a book) that broke your heart, made you cry, but still makes you feel all fuzzy inside? The Host...I was amazed at how he could love her for who she was and not what body she inhabited. That's love that transcends.
Thanks so much for being so quick on the ball!
DeleteI have a question for you, how old is your little girl?
ReplyDeleteHey Juju, I call her 'my little one' but she has just turned 10. She'll always be my baby, though. Even when she's 60! My little sunshine. Congrats on the birth of your little one! There is nothing quite like having kids, isn't it? They drive you insane, run you ragged but when you cry they are the first one to cover you with kisses, to bring you love letters from school, and to think you're wonderful no matter how frumpy, messy or air headed you are! :-)
DeleteAw you are such a doll. Thanks so much for tagging me & your kind words :)
ReplyDeleteLike Juju, I'm gonna answer here as well. Hope that's ok *blog blushes*
1. The last time I cried at the movies was when I went to see New Year's Eve . I KNOW random movie to cry at lol. And I never cry at the movies but something about that movie tugged at the heartstrings :D
2. I can't think of something embarrassing that happened to me. My mind is working slow today, haha.
3. If I could date a fictional character, I would date Rhode Lewin from Infinite Days (by Rebecca Maizel). Why? because he is selfless, strong, beautiful, and loving.
4. Open the book you're currently reading on page 15 and give us a taster. "Tessa's mouth fell open; she closed it quickly, but not before she caught an amused look from Jem, standing at her right side" - from Cassandra Clare's Clockwork Prince
5. Favorite book quote: "I refocused on the glittering ocean and the blurry rolls of the waves. 'Maybe this is why humans are so caught up in their own thoughts,' I said, still keeping my gaze forward. 'They can’t see what the world is really like. If they could, they would look beyond their own dreams and preoccupations.'" - from Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel
6. Is there a book you keep on coming back to even if only to read a certain scene? Yes, I go back to The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, a lot!
7. Why did you become a blogger? because I wanted be part of the book blogging world after discovering it last year. Also because I really have a passion for giving book recommendations, I really do. I find books to be too underrated in our culture and want to shatter that stereotype that books and reading are boring.
8. I'm old school when it comes to reading, lol. Give me a Hardcover or paperback over a tablet any day. I'm not the biggest fan of reading from a screen.
9. First book I reviewed on my blog was Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel. I love that book to pieces!
10. A love story that broke my heart but still makes me feel fuzzy inside? Rhode and Lenah's from Infinite Days. Rhode sacrificed everything for Lenah's happiness, right from the start. Took himself right out of the equation if it meant that she was gonna be happy again. That selflessness. To put someones happiness over your own, now that's LOVE.
Hello you! Thanks for being so quick at replying! I'm loving all the answers and to get to know you girls a little better. :-)
